In a significant legal development, a woman who had filed a civil lawsuit alleging that Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter and Sean "Diddy" Combs sexually assaulted her in 2000 has voluntarily dismissed her case. The lawsuit, which claimed the incident occurred when the plaintiff was 13 years old, was withdrawn with prejudice, preventing any future refiling of the same claims.

Jay-Z, who was named only in this lawsuit, expressed relief at the dismissal, stating that the allegations were "false and ridiculous in every respect." He emphasized the emotional toll the case had taken on his family and criticized the claims as baseless. Combs, currently facing separate legal challenges, also reaffirmed his innocence through his legal team, denouncing the lawsuit as lacking merit. Both artists have been prominent figures in the hip-hop industry for decades, with successful ventures extending beyond music into various entrepreneurial endeavors.
